The 2009 Pan American adult championships will be hosted at the 42 lane Carolina Bowling Center, in the city of Carolina, Puerto Rico with an expected participation of approximately 180 bowlers. Teams from North, Central, South America and the Caribbean will attend.

After just two years in which the Pan American Bowling Confederation championships were split in a men's championship (2007 in Guatemala) and a women's championship (2008 in Chile), the championships will reunite in Puerto Rico. 

Players will compete over five days for gold, silver and bronze medals in six disciplines - Singles, Doubles, Trios, Team, All Events and Masters.
