Croatia has confirmed its presence in the Mediterranean Challenge Cup 2011. Croatia, the second biggest archipelago in Mediterranean with more then 1100 islands will for the first time participate in this event.
The Croatian Bowling federation or Hrvatski Kuglacki Savez is an “umbrella federation” meaning that it manages ninepin and tenpin bowling disciplines. Tenpin Bowling has quickly been growing in the past couple of years together with the development of bowling centres. Two big bowling centres have been built in the last 15 months, one with 32 lanes and the other with 14 lanes. The Croatian Bowling Federation today has a total of 75 tenpin bowlers registered.
A total of 13 federations have now confirmed their presence in the Mediterranean Challenge Cup which will take place from the 29th of March to the 3rd of April 2011. San Marino, Malta, Italy, Catalonia, Croatia, Cyprus, France, Gibraltar, Greece, Israel, Slovenia, Turkey and Tunisia will all be competing in the prestigious Mediterranean event.
